Locktown is a sound work produced as part of the Soul of the Street project, an exploration of James Street North in Hamilton (2011). James Street North is a historic main street in Hamilton which has been undergoing gentrification since the early 2000s. The work explores attitudes towards development, asking the question “to whom does the street belong?”
The work was part of the SOS project (Factory Media Arts, Hamilton, 2011) funded by the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council.
